In 2003, three men with deep roots in Indonesia launched a new ministry called Indopartners.
One of the co-founders grew up in Indonesia but came to faith in Christ at a U.S. university. The second man had lived and served Christ in Indonesia for over thirty years. The third had family in Indonesia and sensed the need to share his blessings as a professional in the U.S. with Indonesia. The three came together to focus on reaching Indonesia’s unreached peoples.
The early days were spent finding quality Indonesian ministry partners. The goal was not to do what Indonesians could do, but to add value to what Indonesian teams were already doing. Ways of adding value included helping financially, sending US teams to bolster their efforts, and training Indonesian ministry leaders.
A few years later, the Global Digital Evangelism (GUIDE) ministry got off the ground. It didn’t take long for GUIDE to connect literally hundreds of thousands of unreached Indonesians with the good news of Jesus Christ.
Indopartners continues to serve the Indonesian church through mentoring, training, sharing our resources with them. Indopartners is helps the Indonesian church to develop a cross-cultural vision. We also linking national churches and agencies in ministry partnerships so they can reach more people. We are also expanding our electronic outreach ministries with more Indonesian staff.
Indopartners takes different kinds of teams to Indonesia. We take teams to directly share the Good News of Jesus Christ. We also go to do training and resource sharing for literacy ministries. We create opportunities for U.S. churches to serve and partner in reaching the unreached in Indonesia.
