Who We Are
Our History
In the summer of 2000 an Indonesian-American living and working in Arizona sensed God’s calling to be involved in missions in Indonesia. He shared his burden with a friend, an engineer who was raised in Indonesia but came to Christ during his time at a university in the USA. Together in prayer they developed a deep concern to share the Gospel with the people of Indonesia. Over the years, this concern for Indonesia continued to grow. Both men sought ways of being involved in various types of ministries that focused on Indonesia, but no ministry seemed to fulfill that burden.
Then, in the fall of 2003, they became acquainted with a man who had who had recently returned home after laboring for 30 years as a missionary in Indonesia. Out of their mutual burden and vision for Indonesia, Indopartners Agency was founded in the Spring of 2004 as a 501(c)3 faith-based nonprofit organization located in Tempe, AZ. Soon, others were added to create a larger Board of Directors and a formal mission statement was written.
Our Mission
Mission statements are vitally important to all organizations. They are much more than some kind of marketing slogan. They answer the questions: Who are we? Why do we exist? Why do we matter? They also help keep the leadership focused on achieving its ends. Additionally, any mission statement of a Christian faith-based organization must be biblically grounded. We find the basis of our existence in what has been called Jesus’ “Great Commission” found in Matthew 28:19-20.
The mission of Indopartners is to reach the unreached people groups of Indonesia for Christ.
Today, Indopartners has developed a powerful network of ministry partners, both in the USA and in Indonesia. Together, we work towards the goal of seeing this mission completed.

Our Beliefs
The Statement of Faith of Indopartners, affirmed each year by Board of Directors and staff members, is intentionally written to be broadly evangelical, thoroughly biblical, and consistent with the historical faith of the church. We view these as non-negotiable truths that provide the doctrinal basis for what we do.
We believe there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
We believe in the deity and humanity of Christ, His virgin birth, His sinless life, His miracles, His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, His bodily resurrection, His ascension to the right hand of the Father, His present rule as Head of the Church, and in His personal return in power and glory.
We believe that for the salvation of lost and sinful men, regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential.
We believe the Bible to be the inspired, inerrant, the only infallible, authoritative Word of God.
We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit, by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life and is empowered for fruitful ministry.
We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost, they that are saved unto the resurrection of life and they that are lost unto the barrenness of damnation.
We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ, with equality across racial, gender, and class differences.
We believe that God creates each person as male or female, and that these two distinct, complementary genders together reflect the image and nature of God.
We believe that God created marriage to be exclusively the union of one man and one woman, and that intimate sexual activity is to occur exclusively within that union.
Our Core Values
Core values are an important barometer of any organization. They tell a story. What is important to us? What are our essentials, our absolutes, our DNA? It can be especially hard to boil down all the values to just a few. Having a list of twenty or thirty just isn’t all that helpful. But a short list is. So here’s ours.
Indopartners has seven core values that we constantly aspire to achieve:
1) Christ-centered Theology
2) Great Commission Motivated
3) Indonesian Unreached People Groups Focused
4) Prayer Empowered
5) Culturally Sensitive and respectful
6) Innovative Strategies
7) Partnership Approach
